SoBran has an immediate opening for a Cagewash Supervisor at the National Institutes of Health, Building 33.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform duties of cagewash personnel.
- Train and supervise cagewash personnel according to SOP's.
- Ensure that all cagewash SOPs are adhered to by the cagewash staff.
- Anticipate caging and chemical needs for the cagewash area and report those needs to the Facility Manager or Assistant Manager in a timely manner.
- Oversee all cagewash monitoring and accompanying documentation.
- Maintain all cagewash documentation and provide written reports as requested.
- Report all equipment malfunctions, failures, and repair needs to the Facility Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Assist in the development and revision of cagewash SOPs.
- Report any abnormal conditions of the animal facility or immediate vicinity to supervisory staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
Must complete the required training and receive clearance on the duties of Cagewash Supervisor.
Required Education:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must attain certification by the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science as an Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) within 1 year of eligibility.
